A Light of Day WinterFest 2022 Event - Presents the great Steve Forbert & The New Renditions along with Jeffrey Gaines, Guy Davis and host Jeff Slate at the City Winery Loft.

Steve Forbert is an American pop music singer-songwriter. His 1979 song “Romeo’s Tune" reached No. 11 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 13 on the Billboard  Chart. It also spent two weeks at No. 8 in Canada. Forbert's first four albums all charted on the Billboard 200 chart, with Jackrabbit Slim certified gold. 

Jeffrey Gaines is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. Born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, he was signed to the Chrysalis Records label in 1990 and released his debut album, Jeffrey Gaines, in 1992. 

Guy Davis is an American blues guitarist, banjo player, author and actor, and a Grammy award nominee in 2017 for the best traditional blues album of the year, won by the Rolling Stones. He is the second child and the only son of the actors Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis. His parallel careers — as a musician, an author, a teacher, and a Broadway and film and television actor mark Guy Davis as a Renaissance man, yet the blues remain his first and greatest love. 

Jeff Slate, this evening’s host, is a New York City-based songwriter and journalist who has contributed music and culture articles to Esquire since 2013.
