[ Full Event Calendar ] Light of Day beefs up artists' line up for next weekend's concert; Eddie Kowalczyk, front man from Live, Status Green to SloMo and a legion of songwriters join the fight against Parkinson's disease The Light of Day Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce the full line up for its 10th Anniversary concerts in Asbury Park, New Jersey, to be held Friday, Jan. 15, Saturday, Jan. 16 and Sunday, Jan. 17. The concerts will aid the ongoing fight against Parkinson's disease by supporting research into more effective treatments and a cure as well as supporting people who suffer from the degenerative neurological disorder. Ed Kowalczyk, widely known as the lead-singer, frontman, guitarist of the band LIVE will headline concerts supporting the fight against Parkinson's disease The Light of Day Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce the 10th annual Light of Day concerts, to be held Friday, Jan. 15 at the Stone Pony, Saturday, Jan. 16 at the Paramount Theatre and the Wonder Bar, and Sunday, Jan. 17 at the Watermark, Langosta Lounge and Tim McLoone's Supper Club, all in Asbury Park, NJ. Light of Day Board Member Takes The Fight Against Parkinson's To The Streets In December 2008, Light of Day board member Ken Reichel felt the need to do more for LOD. Ken was 47 at the time and had just completed the New York Marathon, running for his office's charity team and he jumped on an idea - doing fifty marathons by age fifty and raising $50,000 for LOD in the process. Light of Day Team Helps The 15th Parkinson's Unity Walk Raise Over $1.4 Million On Saturday, April 25, the Parkinson's disease community came out in full force in New York's Central Park. Over 10,000 walkers participated in a day of camaraderie, awareness and education. The Light of Day Team was one of over 400 teams joining together to fight Parkinson's disease. The Light of Day Team is proud to have raised over $23,000 to date and rank as the #5 team in fundraising.
