In December 2008, Light of Day board member Ken Reichel felt the need to do more for LOD. Ken was 47 at the time and had just completed the New York Marathon, running for his office's charity team and he jumped on an idea - doing fifty marathons by age fifty and raising $50,000 for LOD in the process.
On Saturday, April 25, the Parkinson's disease community came out in full force in New York's Central Park. Over 10,000 walkers participated in a day of camaraderie, awareness and education. The Light of Day Team was one of over 400 teams joining together to fight Parkinson's disease. The Light of Day Team is proud to have raised over $23,000 to date and rank as the #5 team in fundraising.
